About the Rubicon Sympatex – Men’s Country Boots
The Rubicon, A Brandecosse classic and one of the very first men’s country boots in our range. The Rubicon is our take on traditional country tall boot styling. Fully leather clad with our signature 2.6mm Hydrophobic leather, adjustable rear guesset and Norwegian welted construction. While introducing modern technologies in Sympatex H20ut breathable and waterproof linings and a Vibram Montagna Block outsole. Producing a tall country boot you can count on to perform season after season, while looking the part.
A double stitched, Norwegian welted construction is something rarely seen in the disposable days we live in, but the result is a boot that could quite literally last a lifetime. Thanks to the replicability of the outsoles and durability associated with this type of country boot construction. For traction, a classic Vibram Montagna outsole provides comfort and grip you can rely on.
A rear adjustable buckled gusset allows a refined fit up the leg, while an additional volume adjuster insole ensures the perfect fit around the foot. Internally, a full Sympatex H20ut lining protects you from the elements.

Delivery & Returns
Size Exchange
It can often be hard picking out the right size for you while shopping online. However we have done our best to put the most accurate UK size to our boots, as they are all made on European lasts.
When you receive your boots, put on your usual boot sock and wear your boots around the house. If you think a different size would be best for you, we are always more than happy to swap them out for a better size. Simply get in touch with the Brandecosse team and we will arrange this for you. Once you have returned your boots, we will ship a replacement pair free of charge.
Boots must be returned in their original packaging and include a completed returns form. Download our returns form.
If you do not have a printer, please include a note inside the box detailing the below;

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Brandecosse Ltd, The Old Bank, 12 Main Street, St Johns Town of Dalry, Dumfries & Galloway, DG7 3UW.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Brandecosse Ltd offers free delivery to locations in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man on any order over £100. For all other delivery destinations, carriage will be added as per the location selected at the checkout. We will ship internationally however only offer free delivery for select locations.

Refund Policy
Refunds/Returns/Warranty Claims and Exchanges.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from Brandecosse, you may return it to us by completing the Returns Slip enclosed in with your order within 14 days under The Consumer Contracts (information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regs 2013 (Distance Contracts). The 14 days starting the day after the day on which the last of the goods come into the physical possession of the consumer or the person that they ask you to deliver the goods. Returned good must be in an unworn and saleable condition for a refund or exchange. Thus meaning, we cannot refund any boots which have been worn outside. Cost of this return to Brandecosse Ltd will be borne by the customer but we will happily send the correct size replacements without additional carriage charges. Please be careful to return the goods in their original box or packaging and we reserve the right to refuse refunds where goods are not returned in a saleable condition. Thank you for your custom.
Warranty Claims
All our boots come with a 12 month manufacturers warranty, which is in place from the moment your boots are delivered. If for any reason you believe your boots have a manufacturer default, please get in touch with the Brandecosse team. We will then request that your boots are sent back for inspection, which will allow us to make a decision on your warranty claim.
We WILL NOT inspect any boot which are sent back in a dirty condition. Boots should be washed down before sending out. We reserve the right to return any pair of boot which are send back in a dirty condition.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Just received a pair of these (v. prompt delivery as well)- beautiful looking boots – even better than the photos. They are taller than I expected, probably a 1 1/5” than my Dubarry boots they are replacing, so about 18” at a guess.
Only issue (which I stress is personal to me) is that the volume at the heel is really big. I usually take size 12 (UK) and it is a generous 12 (which I like as I have very broad forefeet), but the heel is also voluminous, which means I am getting a lot of heel lift as I walk (and not being a lace up is hard to adjust, so will need some volume adjusters). An 11 1/2 might have been a better fit for me, if they had one. The higher part of the uppers are also generous, and even with very big calves, I am still on the tightest point in the buckles with a lot of free room at the ankles (however this does allow more
room for trousers/thick socks).
Sole unit is very good, with deep tread and decent stiffness, which should deal with rough terrain but stiff provide enough flex to be comfortable over longer distances. Overall they look like they fit my need to combine my Melinda Borneo walking boots with welly-style height for the extremely muddy terrain where I live. They are also very handsome items of footwear for about town!
5/5 for build quality, but probably loses a point for the slightly odd fit (for me). Consider going down a half size from usual.
