About the Brontolare High 11” – Men’s Stalking Boot

Ideal for all weather types and the harshest of environments, The Brontolare High walking and stalking boot is a fantastic choice for long days out in the field. After we heard from avid wearers of the original 9” Brontolare pushing us for a taller version we put our heads together to design this fantastic high hunting boot.

The Brontolare High is popular with both gamekeepers and stalkers so they’re perfect whether you are out hunting, shooting, stalking, or simply out soaking up our glorious countryside.

For this tall hunting boot we have kept the original principle of minimising the number of lacing hooks to ensure that the boot is easy to put on and off. The high padded collar provides super comfort and support whilst its design allows us to maximise the height of the waterproof membrane.

The Brontolare High hunting boots, with their high padded collar and easy-tightening lacing system, is ideal when underfoot conditions get tough. The thick hydrophobic leather, Sympatex membrane and impact absorbing footbed keep you dry and comfortable all day long in whatever the weather can throw at you.

Being available in both mens and womens sizes, the Brontolare High lace up boot is sure to withstand any situation you may put them through.

I’ve been looking at these boots for some time. Eventually taking the plunge. I really do like them a lot, My only criticism is I think the tongue could be a better fit. I seem to be fighting with it to settle in. Was hoping it would with time.
But unfortunately it’s not looking like it will. Still very comfortable and a great boot.

      • Jane Trueman

Hello Gary, So sorry I hadn’t replied to you, don’t know how I missed your note. On the tongue issue with the Fagiano, the tongue is designed like this in order for you to adjust it, the fit of the Fagiano is very slightly different to the ohter lace up boots this is because of the design being a traditional vamp, (one peice of hide on the front of the boot that is moulded into shape) this is the tradional way hiking boots were made no joins. In the early days of the boot relaxing the tongue may need adjusting and what you do is release the laces, pull the tongue out seperating the velcro part, pull the tongue straight then re-lace this will flattern the moulded part of the vamp allowing it to relax and mould to the shape of your foot. do let us know how you get on. Kindest regards

How will the 11″ Brontolare High boot fit if you have strong calf muscles? – best regards R

      • Jane Trueman

Hello Ruben, think I have replied earlier by email but better twice than not at all. I would say the lace up boots would work very well with a strong calf as the laces have a lot of extra to them so if needed you can loose lace them. Here to help if you need any further info. Best Jane

    3. Michael j. Armstrong

Hi Jane, I have been reading all your reviews and they are very commendable, I have seen your advertisement in the BASC magazine and I think they are just what I have been looking for. After a busy day picking up the boots will be covered in mud, can you just run them under a tap and apply a scrubbing brush to them to bring them back to there original state, wait until dry and then apply leather cream, will soaking them harm the leather ?

      • Josh Trueman

Hi Michael, thanks for your message. Great to hear you seen our ad in BASC. Indeed you can, we have a great range of aftercare accessories which are perfect for this too. As with any leather product, the most important thing is not to allow the mud to sit dried on for too long as it draws the natural oils out the leather. Yet with it being hydrophobic, there’s no worries in soaking them. Hope this helps but let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, Josh

    4. Andy G

Wow what can I say the boss bought me them, I’ve dreamed of having a pair for years but always used cheap substitutes well should of just bought these the first time, I’ve had them a week they fit like a glove and are pretty well broken in,I’m a gamekeeper and wear them every day. And thank you for the personalised note Jane. Very professional product and service even with the present situation. The chainsaw boot is next on my list
