About the Capriolo Coffee– Lightweight Walking Boot
Hailing from an approach shoe, The Capriolo in Coffee is the ultimate three season walking boot. Offering leading breathability, grippy and hardwearing Vibram® outsoles and secure toe to ankle lacing system.
Built with quality in mind, the Capriolo is a lightweight walking boot made on the same premise of quality and durability renowned with Calzaturificio Diemme country boots. Designed with comfort, performance and functionality in mind, these low profile hiking boots are more than fit for purpose. Full Sympatex® H2Out linings ensures reliable waterproofing while maintaining the high breathability of the soft but strong Italian suede upper. With the ability to control your body temperature whilst keeping your feet dry, it’s no wonder the Capriolo has become to choice of many for the warmer months.
For traction, it’s a Vibram® Friction outsole paired with an impact absorbing micro midsole. Being low profile while maintaining high levels of grip and wearability, the outsole construction of the Capriolo provides ground feel and flexibility while ensuring traction you can trust. These country walking boots also have a tough rubber toecap, a ventilated leather lined memory foam footbed and secure toe to ankle lacing system, keeping your feet comfortable and supported for long days in the country.
These walking boots are built for the Spring, Summer and Autumn, meaning they have a unique range of challenges to face. The classic leather clad Diemme range is designed for rough, tough use in some of Europe’s most challenging conditions. But the warmer month often bring long warm days of pursuits in pleasant glades, not boggy moors and mountains. This demands an entirely different style of country boots which we are delighted to present in the Capriolo.
Also available in a lighter brown, Tobacco (click here)
Thanks to an extended lacing pattern which laces all the way down to your toe. The Capriolo is very versatile in its width adjustment. When you first fit your Capriolos, make sure to fully loosen off your laces all the way down to the toe. This will allow the width to settle to the shape of your foot for the perfect fit.

Love them! If you are thinking about buying a pair, go for it as you will not be disappointed. I wanted a pair of lightweight boots that were suitable for my usual walks (snow and boggy excepted) whilst good looking enough for the pub – Capriolos are those boots. I won’t be taking them to Reading and Glastonbury this year – not that they wouldn’t cope but far too soon to be relegated to festival boots.
Lovely people (and dog) in the office at Dalry. I turned up unannounced (worthwhile calling in advance) and although they did not have a size 44 there, the chap allowed me tried the pair he was wearing. I have a narrower heel and average width foot – these boots are great. No heel lift and the lacing allows flexibility – I wear with orthotic inserts.
Very tempted to but the tobacco version when back in stock!

Delivered in a couple of days. These boots ooze quality. Size 42 my normal size fitted perfectly. First time on I could feel the comfort,I loosened the laces right to the toe on recommendation.
First time out a short 2 mile road walk to test them, perfect.
I’ll do another review after a few months of muddy walks.

Boots arrived really quickly and they are simply outstanding. Over an Infantry career of 20+ years and as a keen hillwalker I have sampled a lot of boots and these are of brilliant quality and feature rich. You can see and feel the craftsmanship and care that has gone into them. They feel great out of the box and very stable and grippy out on mixed terrain. I’ve had Altbergs, Zamberlan, Aku and Scarpa in my boot collection over the years and can safely say these exceed a good number of those brands. I have a feeling that Diemme and Brandecosse are going to become my ‘go to’ for boots in future. They feel like one of those brands that ‘if you know…you know’. Brilliant!

Exceptional for walking
As light and wearable as trainers, with similar grip and support as bulkier hiking boots.
Easy to drive on too,
And then comfortable enough to sit at the pub.
Your only dilemma is choosing which colour

Really pleased with my new boots. Looked around for a while and I definitely made the right choice with these. If you’re in the market don’t hesitate to get them. I do a lot of walking with my dogs and already less than a week in I know they’re going to last me.

Boots arrived today and I love them. They’re honestly the most comfortable things I’ve ever introduced my feet to and the quality is second to none. If your in the market for walking boots don’t hesitate buying these. 5*
Josh Trueman –
Thanks for leaving a review Shaun, great to hear you love your Capriolos 🙂
Alex Stone –
So, we’re half way through the evening and my wife says: “Aren’t you going to take your boots off?” I didn’t realise I still had them on. These boots are really light, really comfortable straight out of the box, and will see me through a lot of hiking. Actually, I’ll probably wear them for everything. So, I bought my wife a pair too, and she loves them as well.
Josh Trueman –
Haha, one for the house one for the road. Glad you’re both enjoying them Alex and thanks for leaving a review.
Christopher Head –
These are a great pair of boots. Lightweight and comfortable straight away. I’m just about to order the other colour. I would highly recommend.
Josh Trueman –
Great to hear Christopher 🙂 Thanks for leaving a review and we’re looking forward to getting another pair on their way to you.
Jason Trevorrow –
Excellent Boots, apart from looking good they are tough as and a great pair of Summer country boots. Don’t be mislead by their lightweight and soft finish they are very tough. May have to purchase the new colour ones as well which I saw at the Gamefair. Be nice to see a shoe in a similar style to.

These are great boots.
I bought these then started work on the Reading Festival, I walk for miles and climb structures. They were perfect straight out of the box.
Lovely soft suede uppers and, so far these have taken everything I’ve done, i did have my old boots in the car as back up but I wont be needing them.
I thought these boots would be to soft as they are so supple they would be ruined as soon as the got some abuse climbing rusty steel but they have proven to be super tough.
In fact I liked them so much I have just bought the other colour of the same boot.
Jane Trueman –
So pleased those Capriolo’s are looking after you and now there is another pair on their way, happy feet. Enjoy that festival, I know you guys work hard putting stages up and takeing down. Kindest regards Jane
